It’s been so hot lately… between that and work ramping back up, I haven’t had the time or energy to take photos much. While most of my other dolls are in something vaguely resembling summer outfits, Dom is stubbornly dressed for fall.
I think we’re on the same wavelength. ;o;
Doodles from a few weeks ago.
I wanted to change V into a fresh outfit, but I’d gotten so many new things for her recently that I stalled out on what, exactly, I wanted her to wear. Nothing seemed to suit my mood. So I borrowed Justyn’s periwinkle shirt and built an ensemble around that. Its oversized fit made her look even more melancholy than normal, I think, which I guess is what I needed.
Practice with artificial lighting. I feel like I used to be much better at this than I am now. (I also feel like I used to be better at photography in general, so… maybe it’s just me being gloomy.)
Anyway, I’ll keep working at it.
Mori bunny mish-mash.
I love this shoot – it’s from February, but I’ve been dragging my feet on finishing it up because I took and kept so many shots that I was having a hard time paring it down (way, way down) to fit on Tumblr.
I don’t know if I made the best choices, in the end, but I might rework the set and do an extended cut of it later. My goal was to get her in a bunch of different browns, grays, oranges, and peaches, and I think it worked out exactly how I wanted.

My original intention was to mirror MiMi’s set a little more closely, but it didn’t really turn out that way in practice. That sort of idea works better when their outfits match, I think. But hey, I’ll keep trying.
I would love to find this dress in one of the other colors they offered…
